A chance meeting, a Bath and a Guy

Traveling from Oxford to Bath we'd stopped at Avebury, the claim to fame of which is that it's the only village in Britain built within a stone circle. Stones were nice enough (depending on how much you love these things), but five pounds to park Peter (as Pierre is known in England) was extortionate. Heading out to the carpark we were surprised to be greeted....by Tracey's uncle Ian and aunt Rowena. You could argue that drawcard tourist sites are more likely to host chance meetings, but it's a shock when it happens.
Bath has created an entire raison d'etre out of the Roman baths, which are incontestably impressive. We couldn't help mess about with some photos - it's such a great setting!
Thanks to expert guidance from Guy, an old friend who'd managed to wangle a work trip to Bath for the night, we also explore the rich Real Ale, cider (and whisky) heritage that lies within the doors of some of Bath's more character-filled pubs. It was great to spend some time with Guy on his own (English) turf rather than Hobart, Adelaide or Melbourne....and we were glad that we didn't have to work the next day (sorry Guy  :-D )
